The METI Japan Internship Program 2025 is a prestigious, fully funded internship in Japan offered by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) for international students and professionals from developing countries. • In-person in Japan: 6 weeks

Eligibility Criteria for METI Internship Japan 2025:

• Must be from a developing country (excluding China)
• Age between 18 and 40 as of August 25, 2025
• Must have a university enrollment certificate or graduation certificate
• Must be proficient in English or Japanese (JLPT N3 or higher)
• Must submit a recommendation letter from a university faculty member
• Language proficiency certificates (IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, CEFR, JLPT) are a plus
• Must not have participated in any METI internship from 2016 to 2024
• Must demonstrate a strong desire to work in Japan or with a Japanese company
• Must be available for the full internship duration
• Must meet any additional requirements set by the host company

• Valid passport
• Recent passport-sized photo

How to Apply for the METI Japan Internship Program 2025:

1. Visit the official METI internship website and register with your email.
2. Fill in the complete online application form via the link sent to your email.
3. Upload all required documents.
4. Shortlisted candidates will go through a first-round interview (in English or Japanese).
5. If matched, you may be asked for a second-round interview with the host company.
6. Once the host company agrees, a contract will be signed.
7. Note: Once matched, you cannot withdraw from the program.
