ASEF Training and Youth Summit 2025 – Fully Funded Opportunity
The ASEF Training and Youth Summit, also known as the ASEF Summit, offers a rare, fully funded chance for early-career professionals in science, technology, diplomacy, and international relations. This hybrid learning program combines online and in-person training in Copenhagen, Denmark, with all expenses covered.
Through a mix of webinars, workshops, and networking sessions, participants explore Asia–Europe cooperation while gaining practical skills. Importantly, there are no registration or participation fees.
Key Features of the Program

- Seven-week online training (23 October – 4 December 2025) with webinars and workshops.
- Four-day in-person summit in Copenhagen (15–18 December 2025).

Phase One – Online Training (23 Oct – 4 Dec 2025)
The first phase takes place entirely online. During these seven weeks, participants join live webinars, structured workshops, and peer-led discussions. These activities strengthen practical skills in science diplomacy and encourage Asia–Europe cooperation. Experienced trainers lead the sessions, ensuring each participant benefits from tailored learning experiences.
Phase Two – In-Person Summit in Copenhagen (15–18 Dec 2025)
After completing the online phase, selected participants attend the Youth Summit in Copenhagen. Over four days, they present their ideas, join collaborative projects, and build strong international networks. All costs—airfare, visas, local travel, lodging, and meals—are fully covered. This ensures accessibility for talented professionals regardless of their financial background.
Who Should Apply
This program is ideal for early-career professionals who:
- Are 35 years old or younger.
- Have excellent English skills and, when needed, proficiency in another relevant language.
- Work as research/science managers, diplomats, or government officials in the science and technology fields.
- Reside in one of the eligible countries, such as those in Asia or Europe, including Australia, Bangladesh, China, India, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, EU member states, Norway, Switzerland, or the UK.
